I have been training BJJ for roughly 13 years and in that time have also had experience in MMA training and competition. I am undefeated in my professional MMA career at 2-0 and have a Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night victory for Fight to Win Pro.
I am excited to start this venture of both training and teaching at Midland BJJ because the environment that has been established and is reinforced daily really resonates with me.
The coaches, staff and students understand that people come from all different walks of life and have their own reasons for training.
Many are competitors, many are training for self defense or physical fitness and many are training as a form of therapy.
When I started training I was mainly focused on competition and though I still plan on being competitive, my motivation and reasons for training have changed drastically. I now focus more on the comradery and the relationships that are built on the mats along with a certain level of therapy that I receive from the training that makes everything in my life run more smoothly and makes me a better person.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing other people’s lives changed through BJJ the same way that mine has. See you on the mats!
